It was my pleasure this year to accept the
post of President of our great little car club.
Having been a member of the club since
1989 and witnessed the committee, mostly from north of
Bombay do all the hard work, I thought it was
time I did my bit.
As any member who has attended any, or all of
our national AGM rallies and mid winter events will
agree that they are a lot of fun, they must have been
or they wouldn’t keep returning year after year. In
fact I believe the club is as strong now as it has
ever been and myself and the new committee will
endeavor to keep the momentum going. In the
beginning the cars were the centre of interest but as
time went on everything that could be done to the cars
was done and then the occupants of the cars became the
focus. However now a great number of members
have sold their cars, to produce new members and the
whole thing is repeating itself, T cars are coming
back into focus – not to mention the MX5’s,
campervans, born again bikers etc etc.
The main aim of the club has always been
enjoying the cars, the people and the beautiful
country we live in, and that is the direction we will
keep it going. Any of you readers haven’t been to one
of our national events I suggest you give it a go and
come to the mid winter rally. You won’t be
disappointed, remember it will be fun!
